Thankful Thursday — Rain Drops.
Well, I would have to say that this week has been rainy and my mood has matched. It seems when my mood is rainy I do not post. I just do not feel like sharing or typing or concentrating. So please understand that this may be a little scattered as I am still feeling quite rainy. Some how I missed Wordless Wednesday and it is not quite time for Flashback Friday so I am going to meld this post into Thankful Thursday. Which is good because it has made me think … it is rainy, I am feeling drab but I have so much to be thankful for.
I guess I should first be thankful for the rain drops, the rain that will help our gardens grow, allow us to have water to drink, clean and live. Rain beautiful rain. And I suppose the fact that all this rain makes me really appreciate the sun when it decides to peak out and join us for a day.
And right this minute I am so thankful for our new computer that has Windows 7 instead of Vista … our old one died. It was sad (not really because I have always disliked that computer with Vista on it). But I did panic because I am the worst at backing up things and I was afraid that several years worth of pictures might have been lost. But again another thing I can be thankful for, technology … the very nice gentleman at the computer shop was able to save all my data files to our new computer, YEAH! So now we have a new, extremely fast, lots of memory computer with all my files still intact! I am truly thankful about that!
So as I played with the new computer for a minute (as the kids really do not want to share). I was looking through some older pictures that I have not seen in awhile. As I usually use my laptop I had forgotten that there were several years worth of pictures on this computer. It has been fun to look at them!
I am including some of the first ones that I found. They are from August of 2007, just before Sam was born. This marvelous day we were visiting the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farm in Vermont. Wonderful summer pictures in the garden. Oh how I am looking forward to these days again. The sun, the green, the yummy treats that go with it!
Here is to sunshine and hope that you all have a wonderful day!

I really love the fresh produce too! You’re making me yearn for summertime!
By the way, is there anyone who liked Vista? I’ll bet even Microsoft hated it!
I do understand how the weather can affect one’s mood. Those are great photos. Makes me wish for spring that much more!
Thank you for sharing you heart and those beautiful photos.
Blessings,
Sue
Oh Amy, I’m so happy they were able to save your pictures. I had my laptop die just a few months after Brighton was born (last year) and we STILL haven’t gotten all my pictures off. There are pictures from his homebirth and from his first few months and also all of my pregnancy and before that. I hope, hope, hope they’re all still recoverable!
Love the pictures. I’m looking forward to getting our garden going this year. And we’ll still enjoy the Farmer’s Market for special items that we don’t have room to grow on our spare lot. Yippee!
Thanks for being grateful.
i understand “rainy moods” for sure! overwhelming laziness takes over for me. after living through a half decade drought here in TN, i have managed to muster a true welcome for the rain. just the prelude to spring
i bet your sunflowers will just as beautiful as ever!
