What do you use to make buttons? I am just learning this and have not had a lot of time to put into it but I am working on it!!! Okay so lets sum up this week!
Our Thanksgiving week has been lovely. We have so many thing to be thankful for… I started a list but it was just going on and on and on and it all seemed boring to others so I just kept it for myself! But I just can’t seem to keep it all to myself so I will share a couple of my most thankful things:
My family … there are so many people in my family that have made this year and other years wonderful! But I would like to say a very special thanks to my two beautiful daughters, Caitlyn and Allyson. This year I went through a very emotional time right after Willy was born, I suppose it was a little baby blues. My daughters were amazing during this, really helping me when I needed help and offering a smile or hug when needed. Together we made it through. These girls are amazing.
My Husband … yeah I know he is part of my family too but he is so much more. He is my friend, my provider, father to our children, and much more. He truly is an amazing man who has stood by me for so many years, patiently holding my hand and guiding me or letting me wonder and learn but still always there with open arms when I return. I love him today so much more than the day I married him (and I did not think that was possible). He is amazing!
The list could go on … my health, my home, our income, my freedom and the people who help protect it, my friends, all the things I have, the experiences that I have and will continue to have, etc, etc… But I will stop for now!
So this week I featured five wonderful blogs, blogs that I have been reading and really enjoy … hope that you had a chance to visit them. They are all lots of fun. Thank you to Lisa over at Crazy Adventures in Parenting for sponsoring Happy Blogsgiving!
For our Thanksgiving Celebration we spent the day with wonderful friends. Our children played, we cooked and chatted until my throat hurt, it was so nice. A truly beautiful day.
Black Friday … well it is just not my thing … anymore! There was a time when my mom and I would be up at the wee hours of morning just to get the best deal but I found it just was not my thing. First of all I am trying to break away from the commercial aspects of the holiday season and make traditions that are meaningful without all the ’spending money’! And second the last time I went people were cranky, unfriendly and just down right rude. This does not make sense to me, the holidays are suppose to be a joyous, giving and kind time, in my mind not just to the people that we hold dear but to everyone! So we stayed home and had a quite day!
How was your week? How was your Thanksgiving? Do you venture out on Black Friday?

I wanted to have a Christmas card photo printed to send out with the Christmas cards. Plus we have to get more printed for my husband’s band to send out. I also wanted to get a picture enlarged of my four children, and my nine grandchildren for my wall.
Congratulations Marie! I hope that you will share a picture of your canvas when you receive it and tell us how your experience was!
Well, I think that sums up my week! I have lots of things to share in the upcoming week: some recipes, some pictures, some exciting news about our daughter and I am sure other randoms that I think up! Don’t forget there are only a few more days to enter to win a beautiful pair of earrings from TLC Designs (they have great holiday presents, something unique)!
Hope your weekend is magical!
